Developing Alternate Sources of Energy
Harris Group is working with a number of customers in developing biofuels technologies and projects, as well assisting in the financing of a variety of renewable energy facilities. Some of these projects are quite unique and are helping solve some of the major issues our country is facing today - issues such as developing alternate sources of energy, waste disposal, food shortages, energy conservation, "green buildings" and central power station air emissions.
The links below will take you to more detailed descriptions of these
important Harris Group projects:
- Absorbent Technologies, Inc. - Soil amendment production sees large demand
Improved Agricultural Yield While Reducing Water Use - Shell Oil Products - blending biofuels to meet associated state mandates.
- Osage BioEnergy - producing ethanol from multiple feedstocks, principally, locally-grown barley.
- Department of Energy (DOE) - independent engineering analysis, oversight, and review of demonstration- and commercial-scale biorefinery projects selected by DOE for cost-sharing grants.
