A simple cycle peaking facility consisting of two (2) GE LM6000 DLE NexGen combustion turbines located on 160-acre Imperial Irrigation District owned property. The site is adjacent to the existing IID Niland Substation. Harris Group is responsible for providing detailed engineering, design drawings, and construction engineer support. Preparation of engineering budgets was provided to the General Contractor, ARB, Inc. The site is extremely hot and dry, with temperatures reaching 120º F.
