PDC HARRIS GROUP NAMES GENERAL MANAGER

PDC Harris Group L.L.C., a full-service engineering and design provider based in Anchorage, has named Michael W. Moora, P.E. general manager. Moora provides executive leadership for PDC Harris Group, an alliance between Anchorage-based PDC Inc. and Seattle-based Harris Group Inc. The two consulting engineering firms have been working together in Alaska since 1997.

Moora, formerly a leader in Harris Group's energy business unit, has over 25 years of experience in project management and process engineering. His design experience includes a diverse mix of projects such as petroleum refining, natural gas treatment, flue gas cleanup, hazardous waste treatment, radioactive waste immobilization, wastewater treatment, synthetic fuels processing, and biotechnology development.

An Anchorage resident, Moora has master's degrees from the University of Utah (fuels engineering) and Drexel University (environmental engineering) and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University.

PDC Harris Group specializes in cold region engineering, drawing on PDC's infrastructure and civil engineering skills and Harris Group's oil and gas industry expertise and multidiscipline engineering depth. The companies have completed a broad range of projects, including: National Science Foundation facilities in Antarctica; PetroStar Valdez Refinery in Valdez, Alaska; emissions control units for power plants at Ft.
