Exira Station Power Project
Project Location: Southwest Iowa
Detailed engineering, design and construction support for the Exira Station Power Project, a 90 MW simple cycle power generation plant located at a greenfield site in southwest Iowa. Project consists of two LM6000 PC Sprint combustion turbines in a simple cycle configuration, with inlet chilling. Plant will be designed for dual fuel operation and will interconnect with a Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) sub station located at the site. Design considerations for future upgrade to combined cycle will be incorporated into the design.
Plant is planned for commercial operation in May of 2004.
