Harris Group, a national consulting firm specializing in engineering and architecture, is presently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Project Manager/Project Engineer to be located in our Seattle, WA office.

This position offers the opportunity for growth in a new market and group within the company.

Description and Responsibilities:

• Serve as Project Manager or Project Engineer on small to mid size design projects.
• Define scope of work; assume budget responsibilities; prepare and support the negotiation of contract and subcontract documents; develop schedules; assign tasks to project staff; approve invoices to clients and monitor collection; and complete other duties as required to ensure quality and profitability.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis and design.
• Provide technical direction to other engineers and design staff.
• Prepare, direct and supervise the development of proposals, presentations and web materials.
• Provide management oversight for water and wastewater projects.
• Work closely with project personnel to assure they are searching for potential projects.
• Coordinate efforts with the customer and develop positive relationships.
• Identify opportunities. Pursue and secure contracts.
• Optimize existing work order contracts. Convert potential contract capacity into work orders.
• Help achieve the group’s strategic objectives; align resources with goals and pursue opportunities that meet the group's objectives

Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Civil/Mechanical/Structural/Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field with Washington State PE.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project or program management of water and wastewater projects (primarily for non-industrial clients).
• Business development skills such as customer service and proposal preparation.
