Lead Structural Engineer

Harris Group Inc. is seeking a licensed Lead Structural Engineer to lead our Structural Engineering Department in our Atlanta office. Current project backlog includes a diverse mix of public sector, water/waste water, alternative energy plants, grassroots and retrofit of large manufacturing facilities, and support of heavy industries such as wood products and chemical production facilities. Seismic upgrades to existing facilities are common to many projects.

The successful candidate will be proficient in the analysis and design of industrial facilities using structural steel and concrete as the primary materials of construction. Proficiency in the use of STAAD Pro and other similar analysis and design software is required and experience with Autocad a plus. Must understand building code regulations, including seismic design and construction practices and dealing with construction issues.

The candidate must be experienced in supervising other engineers and designers, working with other design disciplines and have excellent communication skills.
